Healthy Living and Environmental Care with Solid Pine
The South Island pine we use for kids' furniture is 100% sustainably sourced without causing harm to the environment. Solid pine furniture is safe for toddlers and non-toxic - it doesn't off-gas volatile organic compounds and doesn't harbour dust mites or allergens.

Just screw it
Align the pre-drilled holes on your furniture pieces, insert the screws, and tighten them. That's it! No need for complex tools or woodworking skills. This simple and efficient approach allows easy furniture assembly with consistent, secure results. Only powerdrill required
Fantastic service! Received the bunk bed in good time and it was easy to construct, very happy with the quality and finish. Highly recommend
Thanks for your recommendation, Harry. Keep an eye out for some new products in the pipeline... Helen and Shane KitSmart (proud new owners)
The grandchildren loved the new bunks. They are solid and look good and are safe.
Thank you, Cindy! Helen and Shane KitSmart (proud new owners)
Order wasn’t ready on pickup - all pieces not there and they had to run away and cut and sand more pieces. When trying to assemble on Christmas Eve at the bach (4hrs north of Auckland) it was discovered there weren’t enough screws to assemble the bunk sides/ladder/slats safely. Instructions were confusing and the number of screws included to complete the beds was wrong too! We paid over $3000 and didn’t have safe beds to use over the holidays. No answer from calling the mobile number either. Highly pissed off. Wouldn’t recommend.
Hi Sarah, I'm so sorry to hear about your experience, and I can totally understand your disappointment and frustration. We are the new owners of KitSmart (as of 10th September 2025), and although this happened under the old ownership, I wanted to reach out personally. Helen and Shane KitSmart
Such easy assembly & the perfect bunk/space saver for our new place. Love that you can choose a floor or raised bottom bunk too. Our kids are obsessed!
Thank you, Ashley. We are so pleased you love your bunks; they look fantastic in your space. Helen and Shane KitSmart (proud new owners)
The bunk bed and book case are brilliant! Easy to assemble, very solid build quality and the kids love it! The extra room we now have in their room is also a huge bonus.
The team at KitSmart were also great, responsive and very helpful.
If you’re looking for a bunk bed for your kids, look not further, you’re on to a winner here!
